1. Who operates the service
Translate My Sheet is operated by Aluo Apps (“we”, “us”, or “our”). Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].
2. Data processed to provide translation
When you start a translation, the text in the cells included in that job, the selected target language, and the settings needed for the request are sent to the translation service you choose.
- Google Translate requests are sent to Google's translation service.
- OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini requests are sent through our translation API and then processed using the selected AI provider. The request can include the cell text, target language, selected engine, activation information, and custom translation rules.
Do not translate personal, confidential, regulated, or sensitive information unless you have authority to send it to the selected provider and the processing is appropriate for your use case.
3. Google account and spreadsheet access
The add-on requests the following Google OAuth scopes:
spreadsheets.currentonlyto read and update the spreadsheet where the add-on runs.drive.filefor files the add-on uses or creates, including an optional sheet-copy workflow.script.container.uito display the sidebar and dialogs in Google Sheets.script.external_requestto contact translation and licence-validation services.userinfo.emailto identify the Google account where required for the add-on.
The add-on does not receive general access to every file in your Google Drive through these scopes. Google's authorization screen shows the permissions before installation.
4. Activation codes and preferences
A Pro activation code can be stored in Google Apps Script User Properties for your account and is sent to our licence service for validation. Interface preferences such as engine, language, and advanced settings can be stored locally in the add-on interface. You can clear or update an activation code from Subscription Management.
5. Website analytics
The marketing website may use Google Analytics when an analytics identifier is configured. It can process device, browser, page-view, referrer, and approximate location information using cookies or similar technologies. The website does not require an account.
6. Payments and support
Purchases are completed on an external checkout page and handled by the payment provider shown there. We may receive order information needed to provide and support the purchase, such as an email address, plan, payment status, and licence record. Support messages contain the information you choose to send us.
7. Retention and deletion
Activation and order records are kept as needed to provide paid access, prevent abuse, meet accounting obligations, and resolve support requests. Local settings remain until removed by the user or browser environment. To request access to or deletion of information we control, email [email protected]. Some records may be retained when required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes.
8. Service providers and legal disclosure
Data can be processed by Google, the selected AI provider, hosting and analytics services, payment processors, and our licence and translation infrastructure. Each provider handles data under its own terms and policies. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users, the service, or legal rights.
